“Daisy” caused huge snow chaos
One of the worst slumps in years winter has plunged large parts of Germany at the weekend in a mess. Sturmtief “Daisy” villages cut off from the outside world. Cars stuck in deep snow drifts. Worst hit was the north-east. Several people died on slippery, icy roads. In the northeast, the situation is still tense. In many schools in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, tomorrow is out of the classroom.
